So what happened to August I here you ask?...very little. Took some time off from it as it was beginning to get to me but the action has started again... The trusty old saw is resurrected once more ..that means theres about to be some action...
The garage is about to be plasterboarded for fire protection as its connected to the house and I need to use up the spare insulation and fit my new garage door at long last.
Tie down straps on each truss and dwanging starts again! Oh it brings back happy memories

Ventilation added to the roof space before it is totally sealed up...this picture must have been photoshopped...where did the blue sky come from???
In the middle of all this had to stop to fit posts for the builder...considering doing the final render colour if the rain ever stops...
The pink plasterboard goes on...built in hoover in the background....Heat Recovery Ventilation system pipework can also be seen in the back corner..
The buildeer is thinking of starting....
Ian next door has his done first....cedar starting to weather now on his house...
Now that the plasterboard is on its time to get started on the garage door...frame first..
Then the rail..its a sectional door that going on...plasterboard not fitted to the sloped ceiling...there is a reason that will become clear...they say that this type of door cannot be fitted so although I have never fitted a garage door in my life ....hopefully....I will prove them wrong!
Where would we be without bits of 4 x 2 and the odd g clamp?
Yup it had to happen ...forgot to run a cable for the button push to activate the door...so drop one sheet...crawl up into the space to run the cable....its never easy!

Only have to tension the springs and we are good to go..at least manually...electric opener will follow on soon.

We have had two weeks of nice stable weather which has helped progress..in the home straight now..since its rare to see nice weather...here it is..pretty sky...
Right then back to work.. render is done..finished, completed - all walls!!!
Okay whats the hole in the wall for? I am going to build my own pellet store for the boiler and feed the pellets by gravity, down a pipe to the boiler....
Saturday morning 7am ...view from the kitchen window..
Type 1 from the main access is dug up by hand and laid out as paths around the house and over the garden...the whole weekend on this!
Then Sunday morning..guess what I forgot...tracks to be dug for electricity to the pond for the pump and the deck for lights....
Track to the soon to be deck...keep an eye on that bush in the background....you'll see it later..

So after digging these tracks, installing the duct and the cable what do you do? Fill it in again..dig a hole, fill it in...what fun...
Its starting to take shape now...
