International rockstar Mike Peters of The Alarm had the good fortune to get his picture taken with the famous Jimmy Urquhart...as Jimmy took part in Snowdon Rocks 3...so thats another weekend dodging the house build...

Snowdon is hidden under the clouds... I never saw it any other way all weekend...

So where's the top o' the hill then????

A few things to update... balcony handrail gets a coat of sikkens between the rainfall..

Start to box in above the kitch to make it look like the units are sunk into the wall and hide the duct work in the corner..

Fit lights out on the balcony for those long hot summer nights when it doesn't rain and we can actually sit out there...

Finally the kitchen is boxed in after connecting up the ductwork......and for those more observant the plastic covers have been removed from the extractor hood after almost 9 months!!!

Down into the underbuild to fit the MHRVS unit...frame bolted to the wall..

Unit attached...

This ductwork is for Jimmy's great idea/experiment...all will become clear soon..

Techno gadgets get set up at last...network at long last..every room has a network point which terminate at a central point.. Nightmare job requiring the purchase of a Lan tester to get it right...the only way to fault find...

TV distribution system...satellite, tv, cctv...the whole 9 yards...

TV comes off thew wall in the kitchen to get this mess sorted out...

Unit connections made and we have lift off...

So with all the boxes, cables and trickery I can watch movies ripped from my DVD's, all of our photos and play all of our music through any TV in the house at the touch of a button...we can even watch Emmerdale!

Its about time that the buffer tank was properly insulated to save those pellets!!! Jimmy builds a wee warm box for the 750 litre tank.

Thats one foot of insulation on top of the tank and about six inches round the sides...that should keep it warm...

Snug in its box....

Have changed pellet supplies to a local manufacturer...now using 8mm pellets instead of 6mm, no mods to the boiler and it works... so what are the running costs like I hear you ask.???  From my calculations its currently costing £1 per day to heat all the hot water required for us...thats four showers a day ...not bad I think??? Lets see what all that insulation around the buffer tank does!
