Having lots of trouble updating the site...seems to be that the site is getting too large for the software to update so I am changing things a little and will start a new page each month..probably helps you to follow it as I am jumping around from job to job as I get materials...so here's what's happening in March!

When it rains I work inside, when its dry I work outside...so prepare for cladding round the patio area. Plan is to complete this area so that I can fix the balcony boards and build the handrail before my Austrian & French friends arrive to stay in May.....



Still lots to do yet!



So framing for cladding is completed in this area...joist hangers fitted,  we are ready to clad!



Takes a while to remember what to do...but the cladding goes on..



Can still see a bit of the joist hanger sticking out through the cladding which is a little disappointing but couldn't see another way of doing this..still its starting to take shape.



So at long last one section is complete from top to bottom!



Bad camera distorts the image...our front door doesn't curve like this.... Only a little two minute job but stainless steel nameplate is added to let everyone know who lives here! We have called the house 15 Degrees in tribute to the roof pitch and all the plasterboard that had to be cut to that angle!

Cladding progresses over the weekend. Work on the upright central sections goes quite well...was worried about this area as there was a step between the two floors that took quite a bit of work to get square, plumb and true... left side done...still needs more paint...



Then the right side..



Progress - a good weekend's work! Now where's my team of painters???...I need materials!!!



Jimmy's even made his own wee step to finish off the edge all nice and neat!
