Here's how it started way back in mid June....

Its starting to take shape...I know people have trouble understanding how this will work but soon the photos will make it clear... a suspended concrete driveway will be built on top of these walls...Jimmy will be driving his car over this...to park in the garage which will be 2.5 metres above ground level!

They have started to lay the driveway next door so this gives you an idea of how it will work... pay attention people when I'm taking your picture....

Well it just continues to rain....another afternoon and evening of it! But Jimmy gets the start of his driveway laid! From above!

Ian's driveway is completed and Jimmy's still has a bit to go...its getting there though and we can now walk in through what will be the garage door into the dining room...you can't see the door here as its behind the black building paper...

Driveway all blocked out..Is it starting to make sense yet???? The door you can see will link the house to the garage ..
Underneath is a huge storage space...this picture shows one of the two bays!

Builders have started to put up the end wall to stop Wendy driving her car off the edge...The wall will be seven times the thickness of a normal wall as Wendy drives very fast and could easily knock it down!

The end wall starts to grow and the builder buys some new wheelbarrows!
The driveway is grouted to allow for a basic seal before the area is covered in concrete!
Concrete tomorrow!

Concrete still not here ...it rains too much ... however wall on house frontage started...so job is still moving but not as fast as I would like.

Progress is slow...concrete cancelled for the second time now due to illness...lets hope we get going again soon. Driveway wall is at finished height.
Blockwork is at window height now...more cladding to go in between the windows...

The cold weather returns..we have had high winds and rain, now a sprinkling of snow over night and minus temperatures... however...the garage wall is constructed! The concrete has been laid...we are getting there!

A rapid piece of progress....with Stevie here all day Saturday and Sunday the garage goes from no roof to...blitzed! Support wall for roof trusses..

Stevie's back to work on the garage in between the rain showers...
Job Done! Ready to have the roof completed!
During the last week the builders have tanked the back wall on the driveway, put in the slotted drain and started to back fill with gravel.
Drainage collects roof water on the way past....water is something we have lots of this year!
Behold! Loving referred to as the jobbie muncher....our package pumping station arrives. This will collect all waste from the house and pump it up the hill to the main sewer...
Soon to be buried under ground. 24 hour capacity and an alarm system should keep us safe!

Garage Work continues -objective is to fit the windows and get the cladding done..

Made it before the sun goes...
Summer has come and past... but at least we have a nice day!
Getting beyond the target a stud wall goes up in the under build to form the utility room...

Roof goes on garage...Roof is now finished. Just in time for snow!
Concrete work on driveway starts ...due to the fact that there are rooms below slopes need to be build into this to run the water off the surface...
The pumping station goes in....set in concrete

It appears that the snow has gone and we are at last seeing some decent temperatures which has led to a return of the builders....scratch coat done all round the house.
So we are ready for the final colour coat.
Remember the boiler going down the hill.... yup we pushed it down that slope!
A bit of tidying up and back filling... and even the hedge has been cut.
