Welcome to our website!

Our family, Jimmy, Wendy, Laura and Emma Urquhart are about to tackle our first ever self build project. We've sold our house and are now living in rented accommodation. We are about to start our build in late summer 2007.

This website has been set up to document the build of our contemporary house in rural Perthshire, Scotland. We are actually about to build two identical houses side by side. One for us to live in and the other to be built by our friends for them to live in.

The picture above is a photo montage made by our architect to show the planning department just how the two finished houses will fit into the existing area. It was a request made by them as part of the approval process.
